A horrific accident has left a young mother fighting for her life in hospital after her alleged ex-boyfriend ran her off the road and then bashed her head with a brick.
Tara Brown, 24, was forced down an embankment by another driver before crashing into the side of a home on the Gold Coast at 8.45am on Tuesday, after which she was viciously assaulted while still pinned in the car.
It has been reported that the offender was Ms Brown's ex-partner and former Bandido sergeant-at-arms, Lionel Patea, 24, The Gold Coast Bulletin reported.
The mother-of-one was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition after she had to be cut from the vehicle with hydraulic equipment on Macquarie Street in Molendinar.
Following the crash, the man reportedly fled the scene in a stolen white truck after he totalled his Jeep from hitting Ms Brown's vehicle.
