Philippine authorities sent the bodies of three of the victims in the Manila bus hijacking to the wrong families, Hong Kong said yesterday.
The eight bodies were shipped back last Wednesday to Hong Kong, where relatives laid wreaths on the coffins at the airport.
The mistake was discovered at the morgue that night when the coffins were opened. The families had identified the bodies in Manila, so funeral workers in the Philippines may have mislabelled them.
