The tallest man in the world holds a triple crown in Guinness World Records.
At 2.47m, Sultan Kosen, a 27-year-old from Turkey, towers over former Chinese record holder Bao Xi Shun, who is 2.36m.
Mr Kosen grew normally until he was 10, when his growth rate accelerated because of a tumour - since removed - that caused a condition called pituitary gigantism which affects hormone production and results in extreme growth, thickening of bones and large extremities.
Mr Kosen's hands are 27.5cm long and his feet 36.5cm - both Guinness records. The condition means he has difficulty walking.
His titles were confirmed in London yesterday, where the giant revealed his hopes for a romantic future.
"My biggest dream is to get married and have children - I'm looking for love."
