Woman survives car's fall from Melbourne building

A woman has driven a car off the edge of a multi-storey car park in Melbourne, falling up to six floors to the ground.

Sky News Australia reports the 40-year-old driver survived the fall after her car became wedged between two buildings.

Paramedics took 30 minutes to free her from the wreckage.

The woman was taken to hospital with a gash to her head and was in a stable condition, Sky News reports.

Witness reports said the car dropped "between three and six levels to the ground".
