Lindy Lou Layman made headlines a few days ago when allegations surfaced that she had destroyed US$300,000 ($419,323) worth of artwork at a man's house following a bad date.
Layman, from Dallas, US, is now challenging those allegations and has pleaded not guilty to her charge of felony criminal mischief.
Layman is accused of damaging US$300,000 worth of art belonging to a prominent Houston attorney during their first date.
She allegedly shattered two US$20,000 sculptures and poured wine over paintings, including two Andy Warhol pieces, valued at US$500,000 each.
Layman appeared in court on Tuesday. Her attorney, Justin Keiter, described her as a "great person" and denied the accusations. Keiter did not provide an alternative version of the events, saying he is saving it for the courtroom.
