A Melbourne woman received an unexpected visitor when a man drove a car through a fence and ploughed into a bedroom where she was sleeping.
The 51-year-old man had attempted to reverse the car from a driveway in Eskay Road, Epping about 9.40pm (local time) on Monday when he lost control and drove through the neighbouring fence.
The sedan narrowly missed hitting the 44-year-old resident in bed, police said.
Police arrested the driver at the scene where he blew a positive preliminary breath test.
The Epping man is expected to be charged on summons at a later date for traffic offences including exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.
