The clip is 15 seconds long and has been viewed more than 10 million times on the social media platform.
It has garnered more than 95,000 retweets as men and women share the video as a chilling warning to friends.
The video shows two young women at an outdoor party as music blares.
The suspected victim raises her phone higher to give a better view of the scene.
The man who later appears to drop something into her drink stands only a few feet behind her with his friends.
He motions to someone off camera, waving them over, then moves out of the view of the camera.
The man, dressed in black and sunglasses, suddenly appears again and seems to drop an unknown substance into the woman's cup. He then quickly walks away.
The clip was uploaded by Twitter user Jaeda_sky, who later updated concerned people on the girl's condition, saying she was okay.
She wrote: "She's okay. She noticed. Thankfully."
Social media users quickly reacted, expressing their shock and disgust.
One said: "If we get men attempting to drug us ON CAMERA and you still don't believe it happens... i don't understand you lmao."
Maya Wazowksi wrote: "Woowww the drink can literally be in my own hand and I'll still get roofied."
However, some are labelling the video as fake.
One said: "U can all use your heads. Think about how convenient this is lol. Dude saw she had her phone up and there was a camera. Who would be that bold?"
Another added: "Ok this happened in Brazil and they're friends and he was 'joking'. She already posted that she is fine and he was just being silly. Anyway, it's always good to be aware."
