A woman has fallen eight metres from a second storey balcony of a Melbourne nightclub.
Ambulance Victoria paramedics said the 28-year-old woman landed on a corrugated roof on the first floor at the Swanston Street venue around midnight on Thursday.
Suffering head and possible spinal injuries, she was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition, Ambulance Victoria care manager Andy Watson said.
Mr Watson said the Metropolitan Fire Brigade and paramedics helped move the woman to safety.
"The MFB assisted us to lift the patient off the roof from where she landed and moved her up to the first floor balcony," he said.
"We were able to extricate her through the building and back down to the ambulance."
