New Zealand's Winter Olympics chef de mission is offering assurances New Zealand's athletes will be safe in Sochi.
Suicide bombings hit the city of Voglograd have sparked concerns about security in the region for next month's games.
The International Olympic Committee has since expressed confidence Russia will deliver "safe and secure Games in Sochi.''
Our chef de mission Peter Wardell has been to Sochi three times in the past three years to check out the security measures and ensure the organisers will keep athletes and spectators safe.
"We've got absolute faith that they are going to do that. They do security really well, if somewhat different maybe in the style that we're used to.
