A wildfire burning in Southern California's Ventura County has grown to more than 65sq km.
The California Department of Forestry and Fire protection says the fire has burned over 6500ha among ranches and orchards north of the city of Moorpark and is now 40 per cent contained.
The flames have been pushed by hot and dry Santa Ana winds, but firefighters said yesterday windspeeds were lower than they were a day earlier when the blaze broke out.
