London's Westminster Abbey wants to build a crown-shaped dome above the spot where every monarch has been crowned since 1066, the Dean of Westminster John Hall said.
The corona would be part of a proposed £23 million ($58.5 million) scheme including a visitor and education centre for the abbey, which is the burial place for 17 kings and queens.
If approved, it is hoped it will be ready for the 60th anniversary of the Queen's coronation in 2013.
