The funeral of a young man who died in a ute crash that had a heartbreaking twist last week will be held this week in Winton, Southland.
A service to farewell 24-year-old Dylan Sherriff will be held at The Hideaway Lochiel on March 3 at 1pm followed by a private cremation.
The young man lost his life on February 20 alongside Jeremy Vergeer, 25, when the Toyota Hilux ute they were in rolled on a remote, unsealed road in rural Western Australia.

Their childhood friend, Kadin Wallace, was believed to have been behind the wheel. His body was also found at the scene, but the 24-year-old is thought to have taken his own life after police said he died of "injuries he did not receive in the crash".
