Gift givers be warned: If you want those expensive Jimmy Choos to reach that special someone this Christmas, get the address right.
Otherwise they may wind up as prized items in an Australia Post charity auction.
A pair of the pricey shoes, made famous by Sex And the City characterCarrie Bradshaw, will be among 500 wayward items to go under the hammer in Brisbane on December 12.
Less glamorous items include a cat kennel, an espresso machine and luggage.
Australia Post spokeswoman Sarah Gordon said the items had carried incorrect addresses and no return addresses.
"That's why it's really important, particularly with Christmas around the corner, that people check they have a correct address and include a return address,"
Gordon said Australia Post was expecting a frantic holiday season, with a record number of Australians turning to online shopping this Christmas.
"We're predicting to deliver an extra 3 million parcels in December this year, compared to a normal month," she said.
