A video has been posted on YouTube of an Australian man leaping on top of a passing shark from the side of a boat after being dared to do it by a friend.
In the footage, one of the men on the boat can be heard saying "Catch this tiger shark, Brett," and then "You gonna jump on it? I dare you. It's only a little tiger".
To which Brett replies: "It's only a man-eater."
"Here it comes, it'll only take your arm off don't be shy," his friend continues before Brett leaps from the boat appearing to land on the shark in the water.
As he frantically clambers back onto the boat, his friend goes on to claim that he missed hitting the shark.
