600: Civilians killed since the war began, according to Iraqi figures. More than 4000 civilians have been wounded. Neither Iraq nor the coalition has released an estimate of military casualties.
7300: Iraqi prisoners of war being held by American forces, says the US Department of Defence. Britain says its troops are holding more than 6500 Iraqi prisoners. A detention facility for POWs is being built in the southern Iraqi city of Umm Qasr that can hold some 24,000.
400: Czech and Slovak troops among the coalition forces deployed. More than 300,000 allied troops are in the region, with about 255,000 from the US and 45,000 from Britain. There are also 2000 Australian troops and 200 Polish. About 140,000 of the coalition troops are inside Iraq.
800: Missions are being flown a day by warplanes based on US aircraft carriers, dropping fewer than 200 precision-guided bombs and missiles.
43 million: Leaflets have been dropped by coalition forces.
3000: Trained volunteers are working for the Iraqi Red Crescent around the country, with 25 first aid posts in Baghdad, each with two volunteers and a medical assistant and open 24 hours a day.
12: Trucks have been dispatched by Unicef with 5500 cans of clean water, primarily for hospitals and health centres in the Faw Peninsula. The World Food Programme has said more donations are needed for long-term assistance. The programme last month appealed for US$1.3 billion ($2.38 billion) in donations and has received US$296 million.
3000: Refugees have yet to return home of an estimated 300,000 Iraqis who fled north at the height of the fighting.
