A video of water draining out of a swollen lake has gone viral.
Boaters are being warned to be careful when going on Lake Texoma along the Texas-Oklahoma border or they could wind up down the drain- literally.
A giant vortex measuring eight feet across formed recently in the overflowing lake, the Huffington Post reported.
A video of the vortex posted to the YouTube page of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Tulsa District on June 5, 2015 shows just how big and powerful the vortex is.
According to the corps, a vortex is a normal occurrence, when water is released using the flood control gates.
