The man who became an internet-sensation after his mug shot went viral on social media has had to face court in California, according to multiple media reports.
Jeremy Meeks, dubbed the "hot convict", had his state charges dropped in favour of federal charges this week.
A convicted felon, Meeks was arrested in June after a gang sweep in Stockton, California.

He now faces a federal felony weapon charge, according to the reports. If convicted, Meeks could face up to 10 years in prison.
