A woman driving down the UK's A1 motorway was pinned to the front of a truck in her car for over 530 metres.
The video of the incident on YouTube (shown below) has been posted on news sites around the world.
The
reports that the truck driver was unaware that the woman's Clio Renault was pinned to the front of his truck as he reached speeds of up to 95 km per hour, near Yorkshire.
A man can be heard on the video shouting: "He hasn't even seen it," as the 22 second clip is being filmed by a passer-by.
A West Yorkshire police spokesman told
The Times
that the footage is genuine and the incident happened in January.
A spokesman for the trucking company, Arclid Transport, told the website that the incident is being investigated but neither drivers were injured and there were no arrests.
The spokesman told the BBC that the driver has been sent home after the footage was posted on the internet.
"As a result, at the time, the incident was treated as a damage only collision," he told the BBC.
"However, in light of the new evidence that has come to light we are reinvestigating the collision and the matter has today been passed to our major collision inquiry team and inquiries are ongoing."
