The yeast-extract spread you either love or hate is now called "Australia" across the ditch.
To celebrate Australia Day, Kraft Foods Australia has changed the name of Vegemite for a limited time.
In the lead up to the January 26 national holiday, jars of the iconic will feature a different logo, with "Australia" printed within an outline of a map of Australia.
However, many Aussies have questioned the change, considering the 89-year-old institution is now owned by an American company.
It is the second time Kraft have tried to rebrand a vegemite product, with a cheesy variant called iSnack 2.0 lasting only five days on the shelf in 2009 after it was pulled due to a public backlash.
