US embassy faces threat in Saudi Arabia

The United States Embassy and consulates in Saudi Arabia will close today and tomorrow because of a threat against US Government buildings.

Mission personnel will limit non-official travel over the next two days and have urged Americans in the kingdom to keep "a high level of vigilance".

A statement from the embassy did not elaborate on the nature of the threat.

The warning was the second in two weeks.
