SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) Federal agents have arrested 126 people indicted on drug trafficking charges in the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico.
U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez says the suspects are accused of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute crack, heroin, cocaine and prescription drugs including Xanax.
She said Wednesday that the group ran a $76 million drug operation in the northern city of Caguas since at least 2005. She described the group as violent and said leaders would discipline members by breaking their legs or arms with an ax handle.
