UN establishes Holocaust Day

The UN has established January 27 as a tribute day for the millions murdered in the Nazi Holocaust.

The resolution is aimed at making the "International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust" a symbol against genocide for future generations.

Many Islamic nations, including Malaysia and Indonesia, said they supported the plan but atrocities against Muslims deserved attention.
