LONDON (AP) British police are trying to locate a female cyclist who was nearly killed when she ignored barriers and started to enter a railroad crossing seconds before a train zoomed by.
Startling video released by police Wednesday show the woman slamming on her brakes at the last instant to avoid being hit by the fast-moving train. The train driver also used emergency brakes.
The incident happened near Waterbeach, 65 miles (105 kilometers) north of London.
Police said the woman risked her life by ignoring warning lights at the crossing.
More than 100 trains per day use the crossing, often traveling at 75 mph (120 kph).
