LONDON (AP) British police say two men arrested last week for terrorism offenses have been charged.
Police said Sunday night that two 25-year-old men were charged with various terrorism offenses. Their names were not released.
Both are scheduled to appear in court Monday. The two were among four men arrested for questioning one week ago.
A British security official said at the time they were planning a large-scale terror attack similar to last month's assault on a shopping mall in Kenya that left at least 67 people dead.
Police said last week the four men were British nationals with roots in Turkey, Pakistan, Algeria and Azerbaijan.
