SYDNEY - Two people are dead and two more are in a critical condition after a multiple stabbing, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
Police were called to a house north of Newcastle around 1am where they found the bodies of a 58-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman.
Both had suffered stab wounds, the newspaper reported.
A 13-year-old girl and a 51-year-old woman are in a critical condition in hospital after sustaining stab wounds.
Two younger children, girl aged four and boys aged 14, were also in the home at the time of the incident but were not injured.
Police believe that the stabbings are the result of a domestic dispute.
Reports say A 35-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the incident.
