Two US men have been arrested amid accusations of sex with horses.
James Michael Tait, 58, and Kenny Thomason, 44, both face animal cruelty charges over the ongoing equine abuse, according to the Columbia Daily Herald.
"This is one of the most upsetting days I've ever dealt with," Sheriff Enoch George of Maury County told the Tennessee newspaper.
A citizen complaint had led to the arrests, police said.
The arrest warrant alleged that Tait engaged in sex acts with a stud horse at the Double Branch Road farm over several months.
Thomason was allegedly aware that "animal-human sex was occurring on the property," police said.
Police raided the property last Friday and recovered pictures of Tait engaging in sex acts with the horse.
A vet attended the raid to check on the condition of animals on the property.
Tait is in the Maury County jail in lieu of US$125,000 bond.
Tait was also identified in court papers four years ago as being part of a horse sex 'party' in Washington state that led to the death of a man from internal injuries.
The 2005 investigation revealed about 100 pornographic videos showing Tait and others involved in sex acts with animals - including the fatal incident.
As there wasn't enough evidence to suggest animals had been injured, and there were no laws against bestiality he was charged with trespass and paid a $300 fine.
Bestiality is now illegal in the state.
