Donald Trump says he is considering entering the American presidential race as an independent in May.
The real estate mogul and host of the Celebrity Apprentice told CBS News he was considering throwing his hat in the ring if "the right person doesn't get nominated by the Republican party''.
Trump said he had to wait for his contract with NBC for Celebrity Apprentice to end because of laws relating to the amount of air time candidates are given on a network.
Trump told CBS News that he has met with almost all of the candidates and that he has very good relationships with all of them, but if the right candidate isn't picked, he'll have to enter the race himself.
