KEY POINTS:
A toilet roll holder and towel rails had to be removed to free an elderly woman trapped between a bathroom wall and a toilet for up to two days, the Sydney Morning Herald is reporting today.
Ambulance crews were called to a unit in Sydney's Taren Point, about 7am this morning after a 69-year-old woman was found collapsed in the bathroom.
It was believed she'd been there up to two days, an ambulance spokeswoman told the newspaper.
The woman was semi-conscious, and had multiple fractures and possible hypothermia, although it was not yet clear why she may have collapsed, the report said.
The woman was freed about an hour later, then taken to St George Hospital where she was being treated for hypothermia and a possible fractured hip.
