BRISBANE - Two tourists died when their four-wheel drive crashed on Queensland's Fraser Island.
Police said the vehicle was carrying 11 people when it rolled over near Dundaburra about 9.20am (AEST) on Saturday.
Eight injured people are being airlifted to the mainland for treatment, he said.
The spokesman said the crash happened in a "very, very remote location" on the island.
But it was not known if the crash happened on the beach, or on an inland track.
No other information was available.
