SYDNEY - Sydney police have charged a Swedish man with biting off part of another man's lip in a bar-room brawl at a hotel on the city's northern beaches seven months ago.
Police allege the incident occurred during a fight at the hotel on the Corso at Manly just before 1am AEDT (0300 NZT) on April 13.
A 28-year-old Swede was arrested at Sydney Airport about midday yesterday as he disembarked from a flight from Queensland.
He was charged with maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
He was refused bail and is due to appear before Manly Local Court today.
