A top Bush Administration official who helped to negotiate the United States-Australia free trade agreement has quit, joining an exodus of senior aides.
Robert Zoellick, a US Deputy Secretary of State who was also a leading architect of US-China policy and Washington's pointman on Sudan, resigned to return to private investment giant Goldman Sachs.
