Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott's sister has renewed her call for same-sex marriages across the Tasman.
Christine Forster, a Liberal councillor in Sydney, told CNN she'd had an "extremely emotional" week after Mr Abbott's coalition government last Tuesday blocked any chance of same-sex wedding during the current parliamentary term.
"At a personal level it is disappointing because I am engaged to get married to my partner Virginia and I would like to be able to do that here in Australia and I would like to be able to do that sooner rather than later."
