A man has been charged after allegedly walking up to a couple pushing their three-year-old son in a pram and kicking the child in the face.
The alleged assault reportedly took place at around 11.30pm on Friday, when the boy's mother and father were approached by a man unknown to them in Sydney's CBD.
The stranger reportedly made repeated demands of the man and woman, before allegedly kicking the toddler in the face and fleeing the scene.
The boy's father tried to chase the man but lost sight of him and called 000, according to NSW Police.
Officers from Sydney City Local Area Command arrived at King Street soon after and proceeded to search for the man.
