Tiger's $1 billion divorce

Tiger Woods is banned from letting his children meet new girlfriends in a NZ$1.09 billion divorce settlement, according to reports.

British newspaper The Sun says the golfing superstar's ex-wife Elin Nordegren will receive the equivalent of more than a billion New Zealand dollars in the settlement, in which Woods will be banned from introducing girlfriends to the couple's children Sam, 3, and Charlie, 1.

Woods will only be able to bring a partner into the children's lives if he marries her.

In return for the record payment, Swedish model Nordegren will have to keep her mouth shut about the failed marriage and Woods' widely publicised affairs, according to The Sun.

The Sun quoted an unnamed friend as saying: "The price of the huge sum is her silence: no interviews, tell-all books, or TV appearances about this for the rest of her life - even if Tiger dies first - or she'll lose the lot."
