The family of a 3-year-old girl flown to Perth after almost drowning in a Bali pool is facing the agonising decision of what to do next following her failure to respond to treatment.
A spokeswoman for the family of Kawa Sweeney told the Seven Network the toddler has been unresponsive to a series of tests run by staff at Perth's Princess Margaret Hospital.
The little girl has been in an induced coma since she was found unconscious in a pool on the popular Indonesian tourist island on Sunday morning.
It reportedly took almost two hours before she received any further medical treatment because the first hospital she was sent to did not have sufficient equipment for children.
A GoFundMe campaign was set up on her behalf, asking for donations to cover A$42,000 for a Medivac flight to Perth and A$18,000 to help with the medical bills, with the online campaign exceeded the goal of A$60,000, raising A$74,775 by Monday afternoon.
