A 3-year-old boy was found dead inside a hot car on the campus of the University of Southern Indiana on Tuesday after his father reportedly forgot to drop him off at daycare.
Vanderburgh County Sheriff's deputies said Oliver Dill was found unresponsive by his father, Dr Andrew Dill after he was left in a hot car for several hours.
Deputies responded to the father's 911 call around 1.45pm Tuesday afternoon and attempted life-saving measures on Oliver, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said Dill, who is an assistant professor of accounting at USI, forgot to drop Oliver off at the Children's Learning Center on campus earlier that morning.
