A priceless skeleton of a giant cave bear believed to date back more than 16,000 years has been stolen from the Bosnian cave in which it was discovered, police say.
The cave bear - known by its scientific name Ursus spelaeus - became extinct more than 10,000 years ago.
The value of the skeleton, discovered in 2004, cannot be estimated, says expert Mladen Samardzic.
