NSW has been smashed with heavy rain, wild winds and freak waves, with authorities warning people in Sydney and the state's south the worst is yet to come.
The woman who saw her entire back yard fall into the sea in Sydney's superstorm also lost her mother's ashes and her dog's grave.
Northern Beaches resident Zaza Silk lashed out at her council for not preventing the destruction, which has taken an immense emotional toll on her family.
Notonly did Ms Silk lose her luxury pool and the back chunk of her property, the storm also swept away her dead mother's urn and the body of her recently deceased pet dog, Tin Tin.
Ms Silk told TV reporters: "My mother was in an urn in the garden along with my beautiful dog who passed away recently. I would go and talk to them regularly and they're gone."

Earlier in the day a distraught Ms Silk asked why the council previously talked about protecting beachside properties but had not followed through with plans.
"They've been talking about it and talking about it. To protect this area here you need to have a wall."
She added: "They've just never got around to doing it. They've had to wait until all this has happened to do anything about it. It's crazy.
"We have to pay rates, really expensive rates to live in this part of Collaroy. They don't look after you at all.
