A Mexico City borough went for the whole enchilada - and got it.
Residents of Iztapalapa cooked up a 70m-long, almost one-tonne enchilada yesterday and Guinness confirmed it was the world's biggest.
Ingredients included corn tortillas, white onions, serrano chilis, green tomatoes, avocado, cheese, cream and a sea of salsas.
"With this Guinness record we are showing the world that Iztapalapa is a high-level tourist destination," said a tourism official.
Mexico City has gone for several records recently, including the biggest number of people dancing to Michael Jackson's Thriller and the most people kissing simultaneously .
