Thai PM escapes second attack

Police uncovered a fake bomb near the residence of Thailand's Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra yesterday, four days after a genuine explosive was found inside a car close to his house, police said.

Meanwhile, authorities continued to investigate the discovery of explosives last week which many suspect may have been staged to gain sympathy for the beleaguered Thai leader.
