Thai Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont said yesterday he would not serve for more than a year after a Cabinet minister alarmed pro-democracy groups by suggesting the post-coup Government might stay for 17 months.
"I can assure you I will finish all the work as fast as I can," Surayud said when asked if his Army-appointed administration would stay five months longer than initially promised.
