BANGKOK (AP) Thai Airways said it discovered a burst tire on an Airbus A300-600 after the aircraft landed safely Tuesday at an airport in northern Thailand.
The burst rear tire was found during an inspection after Flight TG130 from Bangkok had landed in Chiang Rai, the airline said in a statement. It said that none of the 197 passengers or 10 crew members aboard was injured.
Mechanics replaced the blown tire and after a 55-minute delay the flight returned to Bangkok.
The airline said it was investigating the cause of the incident.
In September, a Thai Airways Airbus 330-300 skidded off the runway at Bangkok's main airport after its landing gear malfunctioned, injuring 14 passengers.
