DALLAS - A Texas teenager who police say beat his mother to death with an aluminium baseball bat was charged with murder today, the local sheriff said.
Sheriff Tommy Bryant said 17-year-old Cody Roberson had been charged for the murder of his 50-year-old mother, Jana, who was found dead in her home late on Monday night.
"He was arraigned this morning on a murder charge," Bryant said, adding that no motive had been established yet.
The incident occurred near the town of Stephenville 100km south of Fort Worth.
