Testicle implants made by a now defunct French company have been revealed to contain the same contaminated silicone as the company's faulty breast implants.
A global health scare was sparked last month after the revelation Poly Implants Prothese (PIP) had manufactured implants using untested industrial fuel additives.
The implants have been tentatively linked to a handful of cancer cases, including one death.
Now France's Le Parisien newspaper has revealed that the same contaminated silicone gel was also used in male chest, buttock and testicle implants.
"Three people were specially trained to work with a machine that made silicon testicles," a former PIP worker told the paper.
