Terrorist leader killed in shoot-out

The leader of Abu Sayyaf, an al Qaeda-linked terrorist organisation in the Philippines, has been killed, the country's military has claimed.

Albader Parad was among six Muslim rebels and one soldier killed in a shoot-out during a dawn raid by Philippines Marines in the island of Jolo.

Abu Sayyaf is a small but deadly terrorist outfit fighting for an independent Muslim state.
