Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, currently shooting a film in India, have reportedly come under an al Qaeda threat, it emerged yesterday.
The reports, apparently sourced from India's Intelligence Bureau, caused top police officials in Pune, where 'Brangelina' are shooting, to review their security.
Jolie is portraying the widow of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in the film A Mighty Heart, which is being produced by Pitt's company. Pearl was killed by militants in Pakistan in 2002.
"We have learned about the threat to Jolie and Pitt and the news that they have been provided Y-category security from the media, which quoted the Intelligence Bureau. We have not received any communication in this regard from our headquarters in Mumbai," a senior police official told Press Trust of India.
