Terror charge over bombs

Australian police charged a teacher who allegedly stockpiled bombs at his home in Brisbane with preparing a terrorist act. 

John Howard Amundsen, 40, was also charged with making a threat and making a hoax threat. He earlier faced court charged with fraudulently obtaining 53kg of explosive substance Powergel. His lawyer denied he was a terrorist.
