A 24-year-old suffered a broken leg when one of the cables on a slingshot ride snapped - sending the cage hurtling into the support column - at a French theme park.
Witnesses were gasping in horror as the events unfolded, the Telegraph reported.
The shocking video was recorded at Luna Park at Cap d'Agde on France's Mediterranean coast.
It has more than 675,000 views since it was uploaded to YouTube last Friday.
The ride has been closed for an investigation.
