Four hundred kangaroos and wallabies will be shot dead in an annual cull in Maria Island National Park off Tasmania's east coast, the state's Parks and Wildlife Service says.
The service's manager of operations and performance Mark Bryce said the 12-day animal management programme will begin on Monday.
Eastern grey kangaroos, Bennetts wallabies and Pademelon wallabies will be targeted, he said.
