The Taleban has said it was behind an attack yesterday in which gunmen torched at least 10 oil tankers carrying fuel for Nato vehicles in Afghanistan.
One driver died in the attack near the southwestern city of Quetta, the latest in a series in recent days.
The number of attacks on tankers has soared in the last week since Pakistani authorities shut one of the main routes into Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, two explosions killed nine people and wounded two dozen others in Kandahar, the second day of deadly blasts in the southern Afghan city where Taleban insurgents are fighting United States and Afghan forces pushing into areas long held by insurgents.
